Sending a marketing email is no longer restricted to typing a good email copy in a few sentences and hitting “Send”. Email marketing has progressed to great heights and nowadays emails are “built” as per custom requirements of the campaign. Email developers (like the Monks in our Monastery) hand code email templates that marketers use to send to subscribers by loading the templates into ESPs.

From our expertise in coding over 3500 email templates for our global clients, Monks have hands-on experience of working with different ESPs and shall enlighten you with the pros and cons of using the editors offered by different ESPs.

Let’s begin with the most popular amongst the DIY email editors – MailChimp Email Editor .

MailChimp Email Editor

Please note that this review is purely based on the overall experience the Monks have had and is not at all influenced or subjective to any promotional purposes.

MailChimp is the first name that comes to the mind when you think of a powerful email builder with various features to ease the end-user woes while being free-to-use to an extent. This is greatly helpful for small businesses with a shoestring budget and for those who don’t have a vast subscriber list yet want the flexibility to build an email template on their own.

As soon as you start building your template by selecting a prebuilt template or uploading your custom template, what you observe is that the editor loads up almost instantly with negligible loading time.

In the editor view, based on the selection you have, the Design View and Code view along with real-time update visible on the left. The design view has a set of blocks that can be easily dragged and dropped into the template as per your requirement.

There are two types of emaileditor within Mailchimp, one is standard editor allows you only using their predefined content blocks and uses lots of your efforts in getting those block customized. Another is custom code editor allowing you to built your HTML template in their language and then reuse them without touching HTML code and editing and customizing new campaigns. To know more about both these editors visit our blog .

The advantage with the drag and drop functionality is that content blocks can be easily added, removed and even replicated without a fuss. Also, you can hide contents within a content block.

In conjunction to the content block duplication, Mailchimp also supports nested elements duplication or hiding or removing when duplicating a section, which is a feature missing in most of the paid ESPs too.In the code view, MailChimp has its proprietary template language which enables email developers to create editable templates that can have pre-configured content blocks. These can be edited every time while setting up an email campaign.

How to integrate Slack Asana 2018-05-28 2018-06-19 //asanatraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Asana-Training-Logo.png Asana Training https://asanatraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Integrate-Slack-with-Asana-Image.jpg 200px 200px

Why use Slack Asana together?

Slack is a widely-used communication platform boasting around 8 million daily active users . Essentially, it’s texting for business. For those with corporate backgrounds, it’s a sexier and more useful Yammer.

Slack allows you to group company conversations into threads (marked by a hashtag), and its ability to integrate with many different web services allow it to serve as a central notifications hub.

Asana began adding communication features in May 2015, so why would a business want to use both Slack and Asana?

so why would a business want to use both Slack and Asana?

Slack is definitely not an Asana replacement. Slack is a communication tool, not a task management tool. Asana is much more robust in terms of tracking work, assigning tasks, and creating reports. Slack doesn’t have these tools natively, and 3rd-party Slack project management integrations pale in comparison to Asana. But Slack recognized this and madeit possible to turn messages into actions with a new Action menu integrating with 3rd-party tools.

As a best practice, it is definitely recommended to keep questions and comments related to a task within Asana. By marrying this information to the task with task comments, you keep all the relevant context in one place. This is super helpful if reassigning a task or looking back at a completed task in the future.

However, there are a few reasons why some businesses love Slack and want to use it in conjunction with Asana:

Slack integrates with many apps. Slack offers a more focused platform for communicating. Slack is fun.

Slack and Asana offer an integration (new and improved in May 2018) for organizations that use both services. There are two primary benefits to setting this up:

First, you can quickly create and assign Asana tasks within Slack. As you’re conversing and decide you should create a new task, you don’t need to leave Slack and open up Asana. Instead, you can type a simple “/asana create” command to create the task, add it to a project, and assign it to a teammate.

First, you can quickly create and assign Asana tasks within Slack.

Second, you can edit existing Asana tasks. When pasting an Asana URL link, you have the ability to do the following:

Welcome to the web home for Author Carpentry, a researcher-to-researcher training and outreach program in open authoring and publishing, scholarly identity and reputation, and research impact. Inspired by the Modern Scientific Authoring lesson proposed by Software Carpentry founder Greg Wilson, AuthorCarpentry builds on this vision to complement and extend the research pipelines covered in Software and Data Carpentry. AuthorCarpentry picks up with the “last mile” of the research process: writing, reporting, review, dissemination and licensing, impact measurement, and establishing author identity and reputation (as shown in the illustration below).

Topics covered in Author Carpentry

We are an open community of scientists, scholars, and librarians with collaborators and participants from around the world. Current Author Carpentry developers and trainers are certified Instructors for Data/Software Carpentry and commit to the instructional approaches, assessment methods, and lesson formatting of the Carpentry community.

Caltech Library serves as the maintenance organization for lessons and planning documentation and maintains all content on the GitHub site .

Research librarians have long shared expertise in authoring and publishing with our campus communities, and we have developed considerable expertise in knowledge management principles and practices; instruction and assessment; information ethics and law, responsible conduct of research; and research information systems. Moreover, we share a vision for equal and universal access to information and culture as a basic human right, enthusiastically promoting the goals of the Open Source, Open Science, and Open Access movements.

The Caltech Library is recasting its instructional program using a ‘Carpentry’ approach to better meet the needs of successful, time-constrained, and (understandably) often pre-occupied scientists and scholars, while advancing new forms of scholarly communication that improve access, re-use, and replication of scientific claims. The desired outcome is a set of pragmatic, efficient and useful Author Carpentry lessons that can be offered alone as ‘tips and tools’ sessions; in combination as a half-day or full-day workshop; or as snap-on modules to enhance existing Open Science and Research Data management programs.

AuthorCarpentry is an Open Project and we enthusiastically welcome contributions of librarian and other research professionals. Anyone with an interest in the material is welcome to take part. The project is being co-ordinated by Gail Clement and panelled laceup sneakers Nude amp; Neutrals Osklen rdWgn93uC

Optional arguments passed to publisher function on server.

Optional. May include onStop and onReady callbacks. If there is an error, it is passed as an argument to onStop . If a function is passed instead of an object, it is interpreted as an onReady callback.

When you subscribe to a record set, it tells the server to send records to the client. The client stores these records in local Minimongo collections , with the same name as the collection argument used in the publish handler’s added , cross over strap sandals Multicolour Marni CIF4r
, and High Flyer High Vamp Pointed Shoes Silver Office rrkPp
callbacks. Meteor will queue incoming records until you declare the Uomo Federico Men Shoes Geox fkACRHa1
on the client with the matching collection name.

The client will see a document if the document is currently in the published record set of any of its subscriptions. If multiple publications publish a document with the same _id for the same collection the documents are merged for the client. If the values of any of the top level fields conflict, the resulting value will be one of the published values, chosen arbitrarily.

Currently, when multiple subscriptions publish the same document only the top level fields are compared during the merge. This means that if the documents include different sub-fields of the same top level field, not all of them will be available on the client. We hope to lift this restriction in a future release.
